About this font

Designed for warm formality in text and an authoritative, helpful tone in display, Freight Sans eschews mannerisms of form in favor of a studied balance of organic and geometric shapes. Because Freight Sans is a single design for a broad range of uses, it benefits from careful attention to tracking when it is set at very small or very large sizes.

About this font

Lapture is based on the Leipziger Antiqua by Albert Kapr, released in 1971 by the East German foundry Typoart. It has been digitized, extended and carefully redesigned by Tim Ahrens, preserving the warmth and rough texture of the original metal fonts. A unique feature of this font is the introduction of gothic shapes into a latin typeface. As Kapr explains, “the basic concept is to string together narrow white hexagons as counters and inter-letter spaces, defined by vertical stems and triangular serifs. The interior spaces are at least as important as the strokes that make up the characters.”

About Just Another Foundry

Founded in 2004, Just Another Foundry is operated by Tim Ahrens and Shoko Mugikura – a type designer and a typographer, respectively. We design and produce fonts for print and screen.
